History of Single Origin Coffee 

The term "single origin coffee" is relatively new, only coming into use in the past few decades. However, the practice of sourcing coffee from a single country or region is not new. In fact, it was the norm for most of coffee's history. The rise of mass-produced coffee in the 20th century led to a decline in the popularity of single origin coffees. However, in recent years, there has been a resurgence in interest in these coffees.

Taste and Flavor of Single Origin Coffee 

The flavor of a single origin coffee is determined by many factors, including the variety of coffee beans, the climate and terrain where it is grown on the coffee belt, and how it is processed and roasted. What is a coffee belt? 

The coffee belt crosses through five continents, which are South America, Central America, Africa, Asia and Oceania. However, Oceania produces very little coffee in comparison to the other four continents. The climate within the coffee belt provides optimum conditions for growing coffee. Coffee plants require very specific needs if they’re to produce good-quality coffee.
